We are currently looking to hire a responsible and dedicated person to fill an important role on our team as a Sterilization Tech!

 

The selected candidate must have a positive attitude, be a team player, and have a great work ethic.  You must also be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment but still keep attention to detail.  Please note: This position will be located primarily at our Warsaw office located at 2122 E. Center Street, Warsaw, IN; however, you must be able to travel to our other offices in Fort Wayne as needed.

Job Summary:

 

Performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment.  Performs other duties as assigned or required.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Operating and monitoring steam autoclaves, sonic washers, and other sterilizing equipment
  • Work at the highest level of performance with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Cleaning/sterilizing equipment
  • Work involves exposure to solvents and blood
  • Organizing surgical instrument trays
  • Maintain and record spore test weekly
  • Stocking and maintaining sterilization area
  • Maintains a clean work area
  • Follow proper Standard Precautions and Exposure Control Plan policies while in decontamination and sterilization area
  • Work is active, being performed primarily from a standing position and may entail bending or stooping to retrieve items or equipment
  • Perform other various related tasks as necessary

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (required)
  • Previous related work experience (preferred)
  • Previous work experience in a medical/dental office (preferred)

Required Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
